I have just returned from presenting the DCP at Perth APCC meeting. I am overwhelmed at the response from attendees from all three presentations I have now given.
I have gone from super-geek to super-sheek.
I must say that having a forum for like minded GP's and practice managers to explore practice improvement models and create PDSA's in efforts to solve issues, has been fantastic.
We have been busy addressing a wide range of issues including demand / capacity assessement and management, team building, patient registers, recall systems, chronic disease management for diabetes and IHD and a whole lot more.
Within this environment of quality focused medical care the DCP has shone in a new light. Many of the issues we have been addressing can be aided through the simple DCP. For example -patient CDM registers - a new function of the DCP added in response to issues raised in the first wave of the APCC - has solved an acute need to be able to create diabetes patient registers.

Re: APCC Presentations SYDNEY, MELBOURNE and PERTH.
Dear Anton, if the DCP was the only thing I heard about at the meetings, it would all been more than worthwhile. Many thanks again.
